Guest guest
Hello, hoping you can help me with my problem. I have a 6 year old female medium haird cat. She's been a really good cat since birth. Never any problems with her. My problem is that she is peeing on my bed for no reason when I leave the room. I started using another type of litter recently (fresh step), and thats when the problem (so I seemed) started. I figured she didn't like it, so I went back to the old stuff (sam's club) brand. She's still doin the same thing. I do have another cat in the house. They both sleep with me at times.. and they both get along with each other. There always playing together. She's always wanting attention from me, and I give it to her. always petting her , etc. She does'nt seem to be sick at all. No runny eyes, nothing!! Is it possible she could have a urniary track infection, with no outwardly signs? Do cats, if they don't like the food there eating will do this. She seems to have no problems with the wet canned food I give her (friskies). what should I be looking for? Please advise! thanks, Jeff
Guest guest
it is important to give her dry food and just a little bit of canned, A product called out is cheap and will get rid of odors and stains. Until recently we did fereal cat rescue and had 8 indoor ones. Once they pee on something they will keep doing it on that place. You must entirely make it so they can not smell the place were they pottied on the bed.Remember they can smell what we can not. Has urine gone through to the mattress? You cat may be sick, are you in a pstion to you take her to the vet? >Hello, hoping you can help me with my problem. I have a 6 year old female medium haird cat. Guest guest
Hi, In my experience with cats, from reading your email ,my interpretation is the cat is not happy about something. It seems more likely a behavioral problem I don't think giving dry food or cleaning the area will change her. But worth a try. I would look for things that have changed. it could be jealousy of someone or thing. I never use cat litter that has any odor. Fragrances are made of chemicals that could affect the cat. You could have her checked for UTI but as she is gong on Your bed that to me is a signal not of an infection. She is unhappy and letting you know it. You could try giving her some Rescue Remedy or calming herbs and see if that helps. Some Holistic vets can work with behavior modification.A thorough check up would eliminate any physical problems. Just my take on the situation. Guest guest
I've had probs. with my cat pee'ing on my carpet. Here's what I've learned... It's always out fault! The little change could have started it, do you clean it everyday? Make sure you have at least 2 boxes since you have 2 cats. Cats are neat freaks so the cleaner the better. If their box is not clean enough they will find what works for them (which seems to be your bed). It also seems like she is trying to get your attention so if she does have a uti, look for straining while eliminating, crying, or blood in urine or crystals. You can put a little bit of organic unpasturized apple cider vinegar in her water..just a little bit at a time, like a drop. Also, if there is anything new she could be expressing her opinion about it! Good luck, if it keeps up take her in! Guest guest
I think that would be the residue from the vinegar. All the vinegar botttles get that on there bottoms. You just have to gently shake it to mix it in.
