Herb to ward off Spiders

Some where I read that a common herb/spice will drive off spiders.

 

Here in Florida, with the recluse spider, it would be appreciated if

someone could RE-educate me.

If you will get the Horse Chestnut pods from the tree when they mature. It is usually around this time of the year. Take and place the round seed pods in corner of rooms, under kitchen cabinets, closets etc. It will get rid of spiders, cockroaches and other bugs. Be sure and place them where pets and children cannot get ahold of them.

Do you have any idea where can I buy Horse Chestnut pods? I live in orange county, CA.
