Guest guest
Lin, Don't know what part of the country you are in but you could dry them in the sun if it is warm enough where you are. You could also dry them in an oven if you can keep the temperature low - 110 degrees or an area of your house where the temp stays around 110. .. Guest guest
If you live in a dry climate, just leave them out to air dry, or set them in the sun unless its about to rain. Here in NC I have to use a dehydrator or everything molds. I have a dehydrator cycle on my elec. oven so that helps a lot If you have a gas oven with a pilot light that makes a perfect dehydrator. Dont turn the oven on, just let the pilot do its job.. Guest guest
You can also string them up through the stems where they are not touching each other to dry. And you can also lay them on a screen or pan (I would turn them if I used a solid pan) where they get plenty of air circulation. Sheila - Accidentally dried so many peppers.. even a bowl full of cayenne... lol Mary Ostrowski wrote: Lin, Don't know what part of the country you are in but you could dry them in the sun if it is warm enough where you are.
