Home made remedy for sick chickens?

Fresh garlic in their water. Whole cloves partially crushed. I have it in my chickens water all the time. Has worked really well on some hens that I had gotten from a women who didn't take the best care of them. They were sneezy and sickly looking. A good load of fresh garlic in their water seems to bring them back quickly! Also seems to keep mine in lay longer than my friends in the same area

Can someone help me out here...My chickens just don't seem to want to get rid of

the sneezes and coughs and I'm tired of buying that antibiotic stuff to put in

their water. Any ideas?
