I seem to have created a nice infection right at the edge of my

ear where I put my phone from work every day. The phone gets cleaned

with alcohol but I imagine this is a sort of contact like a rug burn

type of thing. I've tried all the "usual" store bought things for this

and nothing seems to be clearing it up. Any suggestions please and

thank you? Rayne.

There are two things I use. If I'm lazy I swab some tea tree oil into my ear and eat a clove of raw garlic. If I'm feeling a bit more up to the challenge I use ear oil. (Doc has a good recipe for this.) And if I'm really desperate I use my grandma's old recipe:She puts oil on a cotton ball. (She was never specific about what kind, but I usually use what is in the cupboard, like olive oil.) Then she squeezed out as much oil from the cotton ball as possible and unrolled it. Once open she put the tiniest (and I do mean the tiniest) piece of garlic she could cut and rolled it back up. (Too big a piece of garlic and the ear will burn and peel.) Then she would put the oil moistened cotton ball in my ear and I would sleep on it. It's stinky, but boy does it work well!
