I would appreciate some advice re eye injuties my son suffered. He scratched his eyeballs some time ago--and every morning his eyes are very painful. He is using some prescription eye drops---but there doesnt seem much improvement. Does anyone know of herbal/nutritional ways to strengthen the healing?

Thanks much

Bea

Bea,

Eye bright would clear this up nicely but may not be something you can

use depending on the age of your child. You administer this formula

with an eye cup and it burns little. If your child is young this won't

work !

yes , wash each morning , noon and eve with chamomille teabags . just

heat enough water to wet the teabag and a [very little ]more and put

teabag in . leave in until just barely warm . then use the teabag and

wash out the eye . give the eyeball a good soaking and keep washing out

.. . you have to watch out , as the quality of some paper for the teabags

can be very flimy and tear easily . then you'll get flowerleaves in the

eye , and those are no fun !

chamomille is a natural antiseptic and very good for inuries . keep it

up for 10 days - 2 weeks and see if you find improvement .

many years ago , a friends 5 month old baby had an eyeinfection that the

dr could not give him medicine for , as he was too young . she did this

and to the dr amazement , he got over it within 2 weeks . she did not

tell him , what she did .... but it does work !!

Put a drop of castor oil in each eye at bedtime. My husband used to get flash

burn from welding that caused a great deal of pain. The castor oil healed the

eyes overnight.
