Try goat milk. Get rid of the soy milk.

My 15 mtg old granddaughter might be allergic to milk. She's been breaking out in hives and a rash all over . We've tried

stopping milk and giving her soy milk. The hives are gone but her

skin still is rough and seems to still have some sort of rash..

Any suggestions what to do? Would she have to stay away from everything with milk in it?

Many people who can not tolerate milk are actually fine with raw milk. I give my own baby raw goats milk. I would try that, if you can't find raw goats milk then use raw cows milk, but just make sure its organic and raw (not pasteurized or fresh from the cow). GO RAW it is a COMPLETELY different thing, in a good way! My allergies disapear, I have less menstral cravings and I drink less. My daughter was allergic to milk also but she "grew" out of it. She now drinks raw cows milk and has no more constipation or belly aches like she used to get.

take care,

I agree with Mary. Goats milk is alkaline so is much easier on the body. Soy is not that easy on the body either. Also it is hard to find organic non gmo soy as it is one of the most bastardized food products on the market. If you think about it, humans are the only species to drink milk at all after being weened from mothers milk. Weird, huh?~XMary Ostrowski <maryherbal remedies Sent: Saturday, August 15, 2009 11:51:40 PMRe: {Herbal Remedies} Baby allergic to milk?

I don't know.....I've read that humans are the only mammals that continue to produce the enzymes necessary to metabolize milk.........

Anyone know more about this?

Also a baby drinking lots of soy milk is like giving them

birth control pills. It can cause major reproductive problems later.

My oldest daughter couldn't tolerate formula of any kind, nor pasteurized milk (when she got older). Believe it or not, the doctor himself actually recommended raw goat's milk. She did just fine on it. My youngest son could tolerate milk, but was sensitive to it. He also did great on raw goat's milk.I would try it.Terri in VA"jarusso7" <jarusso7Herbal

For many people raw, unpasteurized cow's milk is also fine. It stops rashes and allergies in sensitive people and boosts the immune system. There are a bunch of youtube videos regarding this, both from a legal standpoint as people fight for their rights within the United States and from a health standpoint.

I think a lot of it may have to do with the antibiotics

that the cows are given routinely that comes out in the milk. So it

may not be the milk at all that is causing the problem, but what's in

it.

Only good thing I've heard come out of congress lately is that they

are proposing a bill to not routinely give antibiotics to livestock,

but only if they are sick.

One thing to consider, re: the milk discussion:

Man is the only animal on the earth who habitually consumes the milk

of any mammal other than his/her own mother.

(This from someone who grew up drinking up to a half-gallon a day - but

none, now)

But isn't man also the only mammal that is designed to consume milk into adulthood? Maybe it's just an evolutionary thing but we do uniquely retain the ability to metabolize milk; unlike other mammals. There are LOTS of mammals- given the opportunity- that'll consume any sort of milk well into adulthood...Not just man...My mom has raised who knows how many different sorts of mammals- all of them VERY willing to take milk, if offered or accidentally chanced upon (as in spilled milk from a kid's cup...) :oP Perhaps it's not a "natural" part of their diets, but there doesn't seem to be any digestive issues...(Course, they're not usually over-loaded w/toxic Rx's and processed foods either...)We drink raw goat's milk- the easiest to digest next to human milk- and our milkmaid's one goat will turn right around & drink her own milk, if you don't take the bucket away fast enough!herbal remedies From: jarusso7Date: Tue, 18 Aug 2009 17:38:27 +0000Re: {Herbal Remedies} Re: Baby allergic to milk?
