Guest guest
Hi, I have some questions and I thought I would ask to see if anyone had any ideas. I have heard a lot about people switching to a vegetarian or vegan diet. Is that really neccessary to be healthy? Don't get me wrong, I like my vegetables but I know the first step to being healthy is in what you put in your mouth. Just something I have been thinking about. Also, a couple of months ago I sprained my knee. It has not healed completely and it swells up on occasion, mostly when I am walking more than I normally do or when I go up and down the stairs to our aptartment(about 25 stairs)more than normal, although sometimes I really can't say why it swells. Are there any herbs or other products anyone has heard of or used for this type of problem? Thank You. Kris
Guest guest
My Yogini said the best way to go veggie is to do it slowly to allow your body the chance to get used to another form of protein. She said to start with one meal a day veggie for a month or so and than replace another meal etc. As for the swelling I know FeverFew is noted for relieving swelling. My Dad has arthritis and he always feels better when he takes the feverfew every day. I'm not expert though and I hope others here answer as well, Rayne. Guest guest
Kris, No , one would not have to be vegan unless they prefer this. However , it is necessary for a time while cleansing. It is also not required that you are a strict vegetarian , although limiting meat and dairy and increasing raw fruits and vegetables is vital for the normal PH in the body. The quality of any meat and dairy is important. It must be organic.I don't know if you have listened to Doc's free lecture " Naturopathy" or not. It would be good to request one if you have not .After listening to that one I would purchase his second lecture. For your knee, find good quality Comfrey root and leaves ( Organic) . If you are lucky you may have it growing in a friends yard. Make a tea of this then soak a clean cotton piece of material and apply the compress to your knee a couple of times a day. During this time , try to NOT do the activities that you know already make it swell. Internally , you could call Doc's office for Bone , Flesh & Cartilage formula ,1-888-898-9660 or look in the files for the recipe and make the tincture yourself. Hope this helps.
