Guest guest
Not even sure how to ask this question. I know there are probably already lots of answers to this in old group posts, but I didn't read them because I didn't think I needed to know it before now.I've been talking with some people and doing a smidge of research and I'm starting to wonder if my son has lactose intolerance or gluten allergies or both (actually both of us, but more so him).I'm thinking I need to start with Doc's cleanse? Then change our diets. Can anyone recommend any books or websites that would give me information on natural remedies or natural ways to combat either lactose intolerance or gluten allergies without medication, just diet changes. Thanks in advance and sorry I'm not going back and looking through the message archives.Bobbie Smith (already gotten into aromatherapy and herbs, now i'm trying to fix my family's diet)
Guest guest
Bobbie, Have you listened to Doc's free CD ? Definately do a cleanse Bobbie but make the changes to your diet now. How old is your son ? If you sprout all grains and seeds before eating for him and knock off the dairy (unless organic and even then small amounts) he will probably do alot better. Doc's wife Valorie has a great cookbook called "All Raw , What Can I Eat " to get you started. There all many others out there. I admire you for making the changes Bobbie . Guest guest
Many people who can not tolerate dairy, do fine with raw dairy. -"Mary Ostrowski" <mary"Herbal Remedies" <herbal remedies >Monday, July 20, 2009 12:24:18 PM GMT -05:00 US/Canada EasternRe: {Herbal Remedies} lactose question Bobbie,Have you listened to Doc's free CD ? Guest guest
It's time for me to change our diets - i've made such other wonderful changes in our lives, this is just the natural next step.My son is 9 - he weighed himself yesterday and he weighs 104 lbsHe's not at all at a healthy weight (nor am i) and while both of us seem healthy on the outside other than our weight, it's very obvious that inside we have some issues. Before I found this group, I did a cleanse I bought at the health food store - i noticed NO changes at all in any part of my body composition or functionI have a friend who has been saying for years that the way my son craves milk and drinks it, she thinks he has a milk allergy -- he consumes cheese and other dairy products the same way. He has excessive flatulence and I just started looking on the net about causes when he got home from camp and told me that the other boys were teasing him for farting in his sleep. I figure it's time we both fix what's wrong physically with our bodies now - so that as I get older, I dont run into diseases or illnesses and he gets a restart at being healthy before it gets out of hand for him and he turns into a fat teen with issues. What do you mean sprout all grans and seeds before eating?Like I said, this is just the next logical step -- I started rejecting doctors and prescription medicines in favor of essential oils in 2005 - then in 07 started learning about herbs and both my son and i have been more healthy than ever, we just both have carried this excessive weight, so this just seems the next logical step -- also a couple of years ago, i decided to start making my own laundry soap - i had suffered for years with itching and blotchy skin when i'd use the wrong soap or detergent -- only one kind of body soap, one kind of dish soap, certain shampoos -- when i started making my own laundry detergent, i noticed i stopped having allergies, then i started making other things and wow things much improved in the house as well - i clean with baking soda and vinegar mostly -- i dont buy many chemicals any more -- i started paying attention to things that had petroleum jelly in them and stopped putting them on my body (read somewhere if you can't eat it, dont put it on your body either - i'm not completely there, but getting closer) -- so many good changes, just need to get a few more!I've been seeing some of the other threads about juicing - i actually own a juicer, i've just not used it much (probably more because i'm not sure what to do with it and haven't bothered to do any research to help my ignorance), but should probably start juicing some things as well.thanks mary, you're always so helpfulbobbieMary Ostrowski <maryherbal remedies Sent: Monday, July 20, 2009 11:24:18 AMRe: {Herbal Remedies} lactose question Bobbie, Have you listened to Doc's free CD ?
