Hello

I am 23 weeks pregnant and have BV for the second time in 2 months. I already did a round of antibiotics and it came back within a few weeks. Is there anything I can safely do to treat it or at least prevent it from coming back? Its never been an issue until this pregnancy. Thanks!

You should avoid taking baths and only take showers as baths can often give women vaginal issues. Also avoid nylon underwear (wear cotton), any vaginal sprays, washes, or talc, and make sure you are wiping correctly when using the bathroom.

You can also do a garlic douche as it will knock out most all infections within 3 days and it is very potent. You will smell like garlic down there for a few days! (You will notice uit every time you go to sit on toilet!) Your house will also smell like garlic. Be very careful when mixing and pouring this stuff as it will make your house smell garlicky! I don't mind the smell, but others may be more sensitive. Garlic is always potent.

To make the douche, take 3 garlic bulbs (not cloves, but the entire bulbs), place in a blender, add some water to cover, blend until pulverized, strain juice into a quart mason jar (or empty mayonnaise jar, use a mesh strainer) and then add enough water to make 1 quart. Place lid on and give a good shake. Douche 3 times a day for three days (morning/afternoon/evening) and it should be totally cleared up by 4th day. Shake before use.

If you can, start this regimen as soon as you have the beginning signs of a BV as the garlic water will burn any exposed skin on outside of vaginal area that is red and will cause some discomfort for about 10-30 seconds. This will clear up the redness and irritation, usually by the end of day two.

Back in the days when you had to go to the doctor to get diagnosed and a prescription for any vaginal issues, I used to use this method to clear myself up as I could not afford the $20 doctor fee and the $10-$15 medication fee. This was back in the late 70's, early 80's, and though I only had to use this a few times, it was a true Godsend for me financially and physically! I have used this remedy a few times over the years since. I have rarely had any vaginal infections since I had my last child a little over 17 years ago. (Thank you, God!!!)

As long as there isn't any reason why garlic would negatively

affect the pregnancy, cut a clove of garlic lengthwise and coat it in

EVOO and insert in vaginally.
