Guest guest
Hi all, My oldest daughter, age 31, has a swollen ankle and it hurts. She says there are two little red dots, one is a bit larger than the other, and I think it sounds suspiciously like a spider bite. She said she thinks it could have happened a couple of nights ago. I am having her hold half of a cut onion against the bites to see if she can pull any poison out of the area, but I recall there being info on spider bites posted on here awhile back. It may have had to do with a brown recluse spider, but she needs to get the poison out of the area. Her skin is okay, nothing dying, but a lot of swelling, pain, and redness. Can anyone help? The sooner the better. Thanks! Guest guest
Lori, Here are Doc's recommendations: Insect Bites: Prickly Pear Cactus Pulp; Intestinal Detox poultice; Total Draw Poultice Powder; Deep Tissue Repair Oil Formula; DMSO; Jojoba and 9% Tea Tree Oil Formula; Herbal 1st Aid Salve; Enzymes; Echinacea Plus Formula. Do you have any of these items ? Mary O Lori Smith wrote: Hi all, My oldest daughter, age 31, has a swollen ankle and it hurts. Guest guest
I always use Activated Charcoal on spider bites (or bee stings, ant bites, etc.) The charcoal sucks up toxins pretty quickly. We've had excellent results with using it on a black widow spider bite, as well as bee & wasp stings, ant bites, etc. It's also great for food poisoning... (I make a paste out of a couple of capsules, and apply 3 or 4 times per day, for about 3 days). HTH~ Jan Mom to

Guest guest
Jan, Charcoal is fabulous. Intestinal Cleanse has charcoal in it and can be used as you describe also. Guest guest
Hi Mary and all who answered~ Shortly after I wrote that "SOS" I remembered the activated charcoal and drove down to take her some (she lives about 45-50 minutes from me). I told her to make a paste (but we only used 1 capsule), but then she was going to reapply with a thicker and more liberal paste before going to bed, apply to bite area along with gauze to keep it in place, and I had her sprinkle her foot liberally all over where it hurts and where it is swollen, place socks on for overnight, and we'll see how she fares in the morning. I got home around 10:50pm tonight as I wanted to get the charcoal to her to get it going. She had stopped at her local GNC store, but I knew they wouldn't have charcoal.I took my daughter an almost full bottle and a book I have on Activated Charcoal so she could educate herself (looks like I need some remedial help!), so she could familiarize herself with this wonder stuff! You guys are so awesome! Everyone there with answers! I have the DMSO, the first aid salve, and the Echinacea Plus Formula. I will see her Monday and will get her set up with some of her own arsenal of stuff. I have thought to make the Total Draw Poultice Powder, but haven't. Maybe I need to!She said she awoke night before last around 4:30am and remembers having pain in her foot that woke her up. She thinks this is when she was bitten. Her ankle swelled up so bad she could barely get a sock on it yesterday. The swelling is still there, though not as bad as I feared, and she now has pain in the ankle she didn't have before and the bottom of her foot under ankle also hurts. It hurts more now than it did when she first got it. It definitely looks liek a spider bite as there are two little red bite marks. I called her and told her to make sure she put it on very liberal. She has also ingested some and will take some more tonight and in the morning. Will let you all know how this goes. Thanks for being there!!!!
