Guest guest
Taking Doc's formula will help. Also, do you take in enough calcium and magnesium? These two minerals, when you are deficient, can cause receding gums as your bones are getting thinner in the jaw. Sounds like you need a minimum of 2000mg daily of calcium citrate (or Doc's Lemon Egg!), 1000mg magnesium daily, and to take Doc's Gum Formula so that you will hit all the areas needed. I would stop using toothpaste also. Here is a really good site that explains why: http://www.scribd.com/doc/451268/Dr-Gerard-F-Judd-Ph-D-s-Good-Teeth-Birth-to-Death-The-Prescription-for-Perfect-Teeth-Originator-of-the-Alcohol-Cure Since my early to mid 20's (I am now almost 50), I have had eroded enamel on my back molars. My dentist said that there was nothing I could do as it was caused by over-brushing. I "discovered" Dr Judd's article on flouride in 2007, and on December 16, 2007, I stopped using toothpaste. I now use either soap or baking soda (and plan to add the cloves and sage I got from someone on here), and peroxide. I don't use peroxide daily. I also began to take 2400 mg of calcium daily, and 1000mg of magnesium daily, along with selenium and other nutrients that I felt I needed to be on. (I had been taking lower doses of all of these.)My teeth dramatically whitened up within weeks of going this route. Before my teeth had been quite yellowish and no matter what I did I couldn't whiten them up (without teeth whitening products), and I didn't know why. It has been a little over a year and a half, but my enamel is growing back on my teeth! I can feel it with my fingernail. I also don't have the sensitivity I had had before. My dentist had told me way back in the 1980's that she would do something about the problem when my teeth became too sensitive (meaning drilling and filling!) and hurt. They had been starting to hurt prior to December 2007. Before I stopped using toothpaste my teeth felt and sounded like sandpaper whenever I would scrape lightly with my fingernail on them (the ones with the enamel erosion). The enamel when properly grown is smooth and makes no noise. My teeth are barely rough (still some at the tops, but very little), the enamel is growing back, and the sensitivity is almost all gone! I KNOW it was the flouride I used in toothpaste all those years! I will not have to have dental care for these teeth to "fix" what the toothpaste had almost ruined. When I was 26 I had to have a tooth filled on the bottom (bottom right "stomach" tooth) as it hurt so bad with anything sweet or too cold. I had completely worn away the enamel and the root/nerve was exposed. And yes!!! It was a huge OUCH! while being fixed, even with novacaine as the nerve was bothered. Composite was used to fill in area. My dentist told me it was from "too much brushing" and that I had eroded this area from vigorous brushing (then why not the other side or on top???). Anyway, I am convinced that it is the flouride in toothpaste that is ruining many people's teeth. That and a lack of calcium/magnesium. If you are a heavy coffee or cola drinker, then the calcium has been leaching out of your bones for years. Guest guest
I have no clue what is in the toothpaaste that you use so I cannot comment. However, if there is glycerin in the toothpaste you might want to avoid it. I have read so many good testimonials on here about Doc's Gum and Tooth formula that I think you should make it or buy it and see what it does for you~Gum disease can lead to heart problems among other things. Did you go to the site I left in the middle of the page? If not, then you need to go read this for yourself, it doesn't take long. It might give you some insight about your toothpaste and if it is what you shoulsd be using. Good luck! Guest guest
Lori, Thank you for this wonderful link. It is more than worth reading and doing! Debra herbal remedies [herbal remedies ] On Behalf Of Lori Smith Wednesday, July 08, 2009 9:49 PM Bryan Schillington RE: {Herbal Remedies} Need Help Please - Gum Disease I have no clue what is in the toothpaaste that you use so I cannot comment. Good luck! Here is a really good site that explains why: http://www.scribd. com/doc/451268/ Dr-Gerard- F-Judd-Ph- D-s-Good- Teeth-Birth- to-Death- The-Prescription -for-Perfect- Teeth-Originator -of-the-Alcohol- Cure Since my early to mid 20's (I am now almost 50), I have had eroded enamel on my back molars. My dentist said that there was nothing I could do as it was caused by over-brushing. I " discovered " Dr Judd's article on flouride in 2007, and on December 16, 2007, I stopped using toothpaste. (I had been taking lower doses of all of these.) My teeth dramatically whitened up within weeks of going this route. I will not have to have dental care for these teeth to " fix " what the toothpaste had almost ruined. When I was 26 I had to have a tooth filled on the bottom (bottom right " stomach " tooth) as it hurt so bad with anything sweet or too cold. I had completely worn away the enamel and the root/nerve was exposed. And yes!!! It was a huge OUCH! while being fixed, even with novacaine as the nerve was bothered. Composite was used to fill in area. My dentist told me it was from " too much brushing " and that I had eroded this area from vigorous brushing (then why not the other side or on top???). Anyway, I am convinced that it is the flouride in toothpaste that is ruining many people's teeth. That and a lack of calcium/magnesium. If you are a heavy coffee or cola drinker, then the calcium has been leaching out of your bones for years.
