Guest guest
Hey Doc – I am having some carpal tunnel type of pain. Went a little to gung-ho with borrowed electronic hedge clippers 2-3 weeks ago and YIKES, my arms/wrists are killing me! We have a lot of wiry bushes that were out of control, and we had a thunderstorm creeping up and were trying to finish the project and outrun the thunderstorm! It did not happen right away, just sort of amped up and hurts. Having never used electric hedgers before, I had no idea this would happen! Oops! I am a writer and just got some major projects coming up for this week (yeah! $$ is good)– yet am in pain and need to resolve this as soon as possible. With all the deadlines this week – I want to make sure I am not doing permanent damage. What am I doing so far: Have upped my veggie intake, juicing and lots of raw veggies and some fruit. Exercising. Rubbing an arnica oil into my arms and massaging trigger points. Have also been to the chiropractor and he adjusted my back/neck/arms/wrists. My chiropractor suggested that, and just rubbing out the kinks. (I joke that we wouldn’t need to water-board anyone if they used this at Gitmo – a joke, a joke – it HURTS something fierce to do this but it does break it up normally, this time it is taking longer!!!) Would rubbing DMSO on it help? And if so, what kind and where do I get it and what should I put it with? Should I try and rebalance the acid/alkaline in my body and how do I do this ASAP (beyond all that live juice?) And, I just printed out your “Back In Action” exercises and will start them immediately. My main concern is fixing this, NOT adding damage (which is my biggest concern) and nailing these new deadlines, not to mention other writing projects! Guest guest
Just get the kind with aloe mixed in. Otherwise it might itch real bad the next day. Also consider acupuncture. Anyone know about the wrist braces for Carpal Tunnel? They're supposed to be quite good. If you get acupuncture tell them you want some magnetic ear beads too. That's what worked best for me. - Lisa Baughn herbal remedies Saturday, June 13, 2009 8:50 PM {Herbal Remedies} "Carpal Tunnel" ?? What sort of DMSO to buy and where do you get it?
