Guest guest
That is because sugar is so TOXIC! It is deadly and if even kills infections. Lovely stuff, huh. Guest guest
It's an old fashioned recipe used long before antibiotics were invented, and in many cases, works better. . ~Amber ---- patricia jones 4/14/2009 1:09:39 PM herbal remedies {Herbal Remedies} : confectioner's suger for bed sores Friends, I was talking to a nurse's aide the other day and she was telling me about how they use a mixture of confectioners sugar and iodine in a paste and put it on bed sores , this perplexed and bothered me so I'm asking is this a viable practice ? anyone ever heard of this ? would the baking soda in the confectioners sugar be the beneficial ingredient ? thanks for any input on this subject lol Pat PATRICIA AND ERNEST JONES Dip HM IF YOU ALWAYS DO ,WHAT YOU'VE ALWAYS DONE , YOU'LL ALWAYS GET WHAT YOU ALWAYS GOT , Here in AMERICA we still TRUST IN GOD , AMEN
Guest guest
I've heard of regular sugar being used on open wounds before but never confectioner's. I use just straight good old fashioned cornstarch, it dries and takes pain away. And it can been used for quite a few things. The BEST one most people don't know about! When you have dysentary???( Many potty runs, literally lol ) using corn starch " there " gives you immeadiate relief! I had raw armpits for some weird reason (sweating toxins?) And they were killing me! Used cornstarch one time and got relief AND it is gone! karly in Texas =0)
Guest guest
It is all the same substance. The only difference between granulated, powdered and confectioners sugar is how finally it is ground. I would guess the confectioners (being the finest) would get into everything better. Guest guest
Sugar has been known for years to be antibacterial. It has pulling qualities that help it to pull out toxins. A friend of mine once had an issue when she was young where she stepped on a rusty nail in the barn and in a couple of days her calf was swollen and a red streak was headed up her leg. Her mom took a piece of white bread (homemade), spread it with homemade soap, sprinkled on sugar, tied it on her foot with a rag where the nail had penetrated, and then poured warm milk (from their cow) over the entire thing. She then went to bed with this on her foot. In the morning her leg was no longer swollen, the red streak was gone, and the leg was on the mend. That was more than 60 years ago. Sugar may not be very healthy for you to ingest, but sugar does have some very good qualities as a medicine for topical use.
