Guest guest
I bought a 50 lb back for $20 bucks from the local feed store about 6 years back and it's still pretty full. I got a container to sit the bag down it and keep it in a safe place, but if bugs ever try to get in it they die. It says right on the bag, Codex, food grade DE. It may be a little more expensive now, but it's good for gardens also, it kills bad bugs, unfortunately it kill good bugs also. But I do not care for slugs, it does a nice job taking care of those greedy flower & plant destroying critters. So does beer in a pie plate, they crawl in it and drown, my granddaddy taught me that trick. He kept a case of the cheapest beer he could buy and would crack a bottle and pour into pie pans he had put around his garden, they would get just full of slugs and they drowned. Toss and put more beer in and it's so cool. I know some of you probably like slugs, but I do not happen to be one of those people. I once had a Saint Bernard who ate all of them in our yard. It was so cool because we never had a problem when she was alive. She lived to be 17 years old too. Great dog. Saint Bernard's are hungry dogs and big eaters, I suppose she wanted more protein. Warmest regards, Micki
