Cleaning the silver after making CS

Does anyone know how to clean the black residue from the silver ingots after

making the silver? I wipe them down with a clean rag but they are still dark

and grayish in color.

I'm using one of those white magic eraser scrub pad thingies. Works great, shines the silver right up.Judy Jackson

Good old hydrogen peroxide. I have been using it for years.

does the hydrogen peroxide have any affect on the brew? thank you!
