Guest guest
i went to a class last month on footreflexology . the guy/teacher had quite an attitude problem . but he did make sense and i remembered a few things . for lymphedema and cellulitis , i would find a GOOD massage therapist that does foot reflexology . it should take more than 5 min to do that !! this guy does reflexology exclusively and spends an hour and a half on a session !!!! there is lots to do . he said , if done right , one of the first thing people realize after a session , is , that they have feeling again in their feet . to the nurse with the lymphedema ... put up the feet above the level of your heart to drain sosme of the fluids . it will take some time , but thats the first thing i would do . IF you have a chance , check out the Upledger institute in the miami area --- on google . look at their website and see if they do not have one of their practioners in your area . they have protocols for lymphedema . it might take a while to get rid of it ... but they are the ones that can really help you . you might also want to go to a chiropractor and get an spinal adjustment , as , IF the bones are not rightly aligned , they can in turn compromise the muscles , which then in turn can "bind off " the lymphatic system . like thoracic outlet syndrome ... where fluids are not properly processed . there is a lot that can be done ...
