Can anyone elaborate on the blackberry roots please? We have a lot of Himalayan blackberries (invasive) on our property, can I use these? What do you do with the roots?Does anyone know of any other good uses for these type of blackberries? I'd like to put them to good use, if there is anything I can use them for, right now we are just trying to get rid of them without spraying poison where we will be gardening. Thanks :)Leah--- On Mon, 3/16/09, Robert Nodge <misguided_mortal_1970 wrote:Robert Nodge <misguided_mortal_1970RE: {Herbal Remedies} Diarrheaherbal remedies Date: Monday, March 16, 2009, 10:51 PM

In addition to whats been mentioned, Coconut maccaroons often help relieve diarrhea.

Bananas, baked potatoe with nothing on it, peppermint tea, cooked barley, adding small amount of nutmeg to tea, chamomile tea, and rice also help.

Have you tried taking charcoal? You can use the capsules but take plenty of water. For best results, open up a couple of capsules and make a slurry in water (just mix) and drink down. Yes, it is nasty, but wash down with more water.I know they are expensive, but eat some blackberries as these help (roots work best, but berries have some benefit). Make a thin porridge from oatmeal as oatmeal seems to help. Use the old fashioned kind. The starch seems to coat stomach and is soothing.Grate some apple with a cheese grater, let it brown as this releases the pectin, and eat slowly.Hope these ideas help. These are some of the things we have done. Lori"I feel ashamed that so many of us cannot imagine a better way to do things than locking children up all day in cells instead of letting them

Hi,I'm a bit of a lurker here and although I am a big believer in Herbal Remedies my actions are more about what we don't do than what we do do, lol. We don't go to the dr much and we don't vaccinate among other things. When one of the children do get sick we struggle through it, using the basics. I would really like to know more, but with limited access to herbs I have found that a big roadblock (I am in Australia so US websites are only for drooling over). Anyway I have a question. I was wondering if someone can give me some ideas for getting rid of diarrhea. I have had it for over 24 hrs now and as I am 21 weeks pregnant it has become a concern to me. I don't want to go to the dr if I don't need to and after reading all the wonderful advice on this list I thought someone might have a preferable herbal alternative. Many Blessings,Tracy
