Pasturization makes the goat taste come through, and kills all the good stuff: vitamins, minerals, bacteria (yes, GOOD bacteria). The result is a very imbalanced liquid that tastes HORRID. Fresh, clean, healthy raw goat milk is sweet, and very satisfying. My little goats have a very high butterfat content (6-9%) and it's like drinking melted ice cream. I skim their milk so as to use the cream for things like sour cream, butter, and creamer, so the drinking milk is lighter. > > Really, trust me, someone who has been milking goats for over 15 years, it's NOT the same as good, raw milk! > > Kim Hi Kim Could you please tell me the breed of goats you are milking that contain such a high butterfat content?
