It would seem that there needs to be a movement to

create and pass a parental bill of rights...I remmeber volunteering and working in the public school system...the parents are always the bad guys...the bias against parents was unbelievable...not that there were not some justifiable situations....but it became a broad brush w/ sweeping generalities... Elitists are a difficult breed to deal with...

in florida you can dual enroll a homeschooler , meaning , they can try out and participate in sports and take classes of your choosing .

well, my son wanted to play football and joined the highschool football team , never got to play tho .... coach came to me and said , that recruiters were looking at him . and that maybe he could play football for some college . somehow the conversation went to learning , and i said ... football is good , but it wont do him any good , if he didnt have schooling to go with it . and that i really thought that education was more important than football .

i got surprised looks and had the idea ... that my emphasis was on education rather than football was thought to be wrong . i think from then on they considered me a slight fruitcake .
