Hi, What about I have trouble defining words I don't know even with the websters young readers dictionary. Did you not have to look up any words. I realize when I do look up a word even if I thought I knew it I find that I didn't and get overwhelmed trying to define it even though I've read how to clear a word. This has been a real problem for me for a very long time. I feel confused and crushed by what I have read because I read past the mu's because when I try to clear them I get overwhelmed ie word chains and all those definitions. So I prefer other activities.

Hi Kevin, wanted to encourage you and tell you it's like anything, keep going forward. With the computer you can type define 'whatever word you need' and get the meaning and classifications verb, adverb, noun, pronoun and so on, if this overwhelms you do not let it, keep practicing keep going forward. You will learn it you just have to have the desire to learn and go forward. Some people are blessed with instant understanding, but most of us must learn through persistence. Just keep trying to learn, that is what is importand. I'm 65 and I learn something new everyday, it's ongoing throughout your life, if you desire it you will obtain it. Life is exceedingly complicated, doesn't need to be but unfortunately it is. The more we know the easier it gets, especially if we communicate with people of like mind. That is the key to me. Blessings and love to all of you teaching & learning people out there, especially those of you who teach your children to learn everything they can.
