The systems are rooted in the concept of healing the body by balancing meridians. The systems contain logical processes for determination of the meridians to needle and an easy-to-use dynamic format to outline the treatment. Participants will be able to apply the concepts immediately in practice and develop effective treatments. The Five Systems are based on Ba Gua relationships, as well as the Chinese Clock. Then, a detailed explantion of the Mirroring and Imaging Formats will be explained to assist participants in effective point selection. Over the years, emphasis on simplification of the Mirroring and Imaging Formats has made these concepts more accessible to practitioners. This course is great for both new students, as well as experienced practitioners, of the Balance Method. It differs from previous Balance Method courses due to its emphasis on case studies and practical application. Numerous cases will be discussed with the application of each of the Five Systems for each disorder. Finally, hands-on demonstrations will allow attendees to see the Balance Method in a practical format. August 17th Global Balance for Internal Disorders and Pain Management 7 CEU's In this course, Dr. Tan will expand on the application of the Balance Method and discuss a variety of internal syndromes including digestive, respiratory, gynecological and emotional disorders. This class will explore the relationships of the channels to the hexagrams of the I-Ching. By exploring these connections, practitioners will learn how to develop simple treatments that affect the body at a deep energetic level. Dr. Tan will discuss the different constitutional/body types and which disorders are commonly seen in these people. Dr. Tan will also lecture on the relationships of the pulses to the five elements and explain how he comes up with a diagnosis for internal diseases. Next, cases and treatments will be discussed based on an in-depth look at the 12 meridians in relation to Ba Gua theory. Some discussion on traditional herbal formulas, as they relate to case studies, will also be included. Finally, there will be discussion on difficult cases and hands-on demonstration of the practical application of Dr. Tan's treatments. *Andrew L. Kingoff, L.Ac.
