Hi Andrea! I have loved this mouth discussion by the way. Very

informative! I don't know what sweeteners Xocai used in the past,

but the chocolate is now all natural--it is sweetened with raw cane

juice. The drink, however, is sweetened with a sugar alcohol,

erithritol, which I personally think is a safe alternative for

diabetics from what I know about it. Others feel differently about

it, so each to his/her own.

I would never ingest something artificial (I am kind of a stickler

about what I eat!), nor would I ever recommend anything artificial to

anyone else. Just wanted to clarify this misinformation, as Xocai is

in fact, a raw, healthy chocolate, and is an incredible medicine, at

least for asthmatics/allergy folks like myself (now an asthmatic in

recovery!)

Wondering if anyone out there has used raw cacao nibs medicinally in

their practice, and what experience you all have had? I have only

used XOcai, but assume the raw cacao nibs would have all the same

benefits. (except the oxalic acid is problematic, so I cannot use

except occasionally as it flares interstitial Cystitis for me,

whereas Xocai has not done this)

Thanks everyone for all your input, I love learning from this group!

chocolate!

When I checked the ingredients earlier this year, sorbitol was used.  And cane

sugar (sugar) too.
