Guest guest
Hi Everyone, I have an open house coming up and I'd like to set up 15-minute slots so people can get mini treatments to experience acupuncture. I'm concerned about the liability if I don't get a consent to treat and at least a basic health history. However, I don't want to make people fill out the 4-page form that I usually use for new patients. Is anyone in the habit of giving sample treatments at health fairs, etc.? What kind of paperwork, if any, do you have people fill out? Thanks, Emily
Guest guest
Hello Emily, I often have folks sign a consent form during a consultation if they want to see how the needles feel, rather than taking a full intake/paperwork. You might consider using a point stimulator, or a piezo stimulator, so that you do not have to break the skin. Depending on how busy your open house is you might even be better off circulating and talking about TCM rather than running around trying to do mini-treatments. You are able to interact with more people this way. Sign people up for a consultation/appointments after the open house, so you are available to market your clinic to more people at the open house.
