The minimum educational hours to sit for the NCCA exam is *1490 hours* if you matriculated on or after July 1, 2004 from a TCM college: _http://www.nccaom.http://www.nccahttp://www.nccaohttp://www.htt_ (http://www.nccaom.org/applicants/pdfdocs/Eligibillity_Table.pdf) **************Get the scoop on last night's hottest shows and the live music scene in your area - Check out TourTracker.com! Guest guest
Some may remember the article written by an outstanding MD in Vermont a number of years ago. See _https://home.comcast.net/~jpetryvt/MisTher.htm_ (https://home.comcast.net/~jpetryvt/MisTher.htm) And there are others including some DCs who have stated the same. I believe that Hawaii clearly mandates MDs to go to four years of acupuncture schooling and THEN sit for the national exam. A little more clear than just fulfilling NCCAM requirements. See _http://capitol.hawaii.gov/session2008/bills/HB3106_.pdf_ (http://capitol.hawaii.gov/session2008/bills/HB3106_.pdf) In a message dated 7/16/2008 11:20:40 A.M. Guest guest
By the same token, I think that all DAOMs with 4,200 of training should be able to take the MD licensing exam and practice allopathic medicine. Bet that would sit well with the establishment. Don Snow, DAOM, MPH, L.Ac. : acudoc11: Wed, 16 Jul 2008 11:36:38 -0400Re: A Manifesto for the Future of Asian Medicine: Re: Acupuncture or w...
