Guest guest
Would appreciate treatment advice for what we are pretty certain is a hiatus hernia (plumpit qi, pain on sternum sometimes radiating to the upper back, slight nausea, tight feeling below xiphoid, food feeling stuck). When I needled Ren 15, it was like a rock beneath. I used estim also on Ren 15, plus the traditional plum pit qi/phlegm points (Ren 22, Liv 5, PC 6) and 4 gates. Two questions: What else can I do (herbal? other acupoints?); secondly, can we expect a good outcome with TCM? Thanks for your help.
Guest guest
Hi Nancy, The first thing I am concerned about is doing estim at Ren 15 - isn't this generally contraindicated being so near the heart? I am interested in others opinion on this, as I always caution on the conservative with estim - however, if I am wrong, I'd like to hear about it. Other thoughts with hiatal hernia - how about the chong disharmony? PC6 and Sp4. Regards, Janis
