Referral in SF Bay Area for oncology support

Dear friends and colleagues:

 

I know there are many excellent acupuncturists in the San Francisco

Bay Area who provide oncology support, but until now, I have not

needed to know the details of who does what best.

 

My father will be flying here from his home in Hawaii to live out the

last months of life as he has just been diagnosed with a very

aggressive form of peritoneal cancer that the doctors say is

un-treatable at this point. They are hoping to get a second opinion

from the folks at Stanford, but he is also willing to seek

simultaneous alternative care (he will especially need help keeping

his bowels cleared). If your own father was the one needing care, who

would you call?

Hi Julie,

 

Dr. Ping Qi Kang was the chief of oncology at Shanghai Hospital #1 before he was

the chief of TCM for the next sixteen years of that hospital. I believe he

would be of help at the very least in assessment if not also in developing

treatment strategies. He's at 2410 Clement Street, San Francisco, CA 94121 on M,
