Guest guest
Hi Group, Anyone have any experience on combining Manaka style extraordinary vessel ion cord treatments with local needling. In Hara Dx Reflections on the Sea, it states not to needle any other points when using ion cords for the extraordinary vessels due to charges that may occur. I have been thinking about combining local needleing and am wondering if anyone has tried this. Would you all nopt attempt this due to Manaka's statements? Thanks for any help. Cheers, Dave V
Guest guest
I would not use local needling for different reasons, but I am not using the cords. I only apply thumb and pinkie fingers as +/- but I will elaborate a little bit. Hara Dx, Reflexions on the sea is written by Stephen Birch and a japanese woman whos name I can not remember tight now. This book covers Manakas treatment, but not to the depth. For more knowledge about what is behind, you should read Manakas book " Chasing the Dragons Tail " which covers deeply the reasons behind how he uses the cords and his whole system. Shortly: Behind the scenes there is the X-signaling system, which is not measurable, but " must " be there. This system is disturbed by other metals, which is the reason you should remove rings, glasses, nylon stuff and other clothings that may cause micro currents. Different metals are also different polarities, which is why Maknaka also used needles of different metals to make a polarity difference like the cords. So if you use local needling this disturbs the flow between the main points. Then you may as well connect the cords to the local needles instead. perhaps from an extraordinary point. There is also another reason not to use local points with the cords and that is, tmanaka have 5 steps of treament. I may miss some step here but basicly it is 1. root treatment with extra ordinary points 2. root treatment on back shu points 3. symptom treatment with needles/moxa/manaka hammer etc 4. So tai 5. Home treatment by the patient The cords are, which I understand, used in the first root treatment, and later you use needling and moxa to relieve the symptoms if they still remain. But not at the same time as the cords. However, you may use cords as Manaka did also on local points or burns, and in this case you use the cords to the local areaa and connect it to some distal place. /Peter Chinese Medicine , " dmvitello01 " <dmvitello wrote: > > Hi Group, > > Anyone have any experience on combining Manaka style extraordinary vessel ion cord > treatments with local needling.
