I hate to burst the balloon of enthusiasm about ching wan hong, and I have used

it extensively with burn patients, but anecdotally I find that whenever I've

tried it (and I have on multiple occasions, I develop what is clearly an

allergic inflammatory reaction: redness, heat, swelling, itching and pain. I

don't know of any specific ingredient in that that I've had reacted to in a like

manner, (again, products from China we can never be absolutely sure what

additional ingredients they add) but in any event, proceed with caution should

there be any reaction.

Hmmm. Anyone ever try it for shingles?

brings it up to a big blister within a day, but then heals quickly. It seems

that the cold sores come back less freq, and less severe each time. Some of the

herbs " clear heat " which can also in some cases be read as " kills virus and

bacteria " in western terms. Very nice little formula.
