Guest guest
Hello Smart Colleagues: I have a potential patient who is 9 years old and hoping to avoid having his adenoids removed. His MD has diagnosed him with sleep apnea and is recommending the surgery. His mom concurs that the sleep deprivation is probably what is slowing down his performance at school, etc. but would like to try acupuncture first. I haven't seen him yet, but would love to hear how effective any of you have found TCM treatments to be for this. Any protocols or potential differential diagnoses to keep in mind for the first visit, etc.? (we didn't get much in the way of pediatrics at our school and I'm just starting out...) Many thanks in advance, Julia Carpenter, LAc Berkeley, CA
