Guest guest
I am wondering if anyone has any experience with giving a patient herbs for acne and it getting worse. First I gave this patient margurite acne pills, and then a few months later Dang gui yin zi wan and she broke out all over her torso and became very itchy. These formulas are very different in many regards. I am wondering if it is actually pushing the rash out and that she should stay on the formula. She is 42, has never had acne until recently. It is the small papule type that I understand is more of a blood and yin xu cause. Menstrually related. Anywhere from a thin/wiry to deep slippery pulse depending on the day. Tongue usually pale, tm, tw, sometimes sl. yellow with thicker coat in rear. I am thinking then that maybe this formula is to cloying but margurite acne pills seem much more damp heat draining. Guest guest
so I called my patient last night to double check what she symptoms she had. It came out that it was not the marguerite acne formula but a cold formula that gave her the rash. She said the marguerite acne pills did make her skin nicer. I am thinking now that she is allergic to fang feng? and the cloying herbs in the dang gui yin zi wan exasserbated that? Any ideas? --- petrabuchanan <petrabuchanan wrote: > I am wondering if anyone has any experience with > giving a patient > herbs for acne and it getting worse.
