Hi Meredith & All,

Would those with experience of treating people with very elevated LV

enzymes care to short-list their top 5 herbs for that?

Thank you. So are you saying that adding Wu Wei Zi would be a good idea?

 

I am not sure what you are saying...are you saying I am on the right

track....? Or should I be putting many more LV protecting herbs in

the formula?

Meredith, because the list of possible LV Protector Hbs is extensive,

and because one can choose from many different Classes of Hbs within

that list, it should be possible to select 1-3 or more Hbs from that

list that not only Aid LV Fxs, but also address OTHER issues relevant

to the subject's Total Pattern.

 

As others have written (on other topics), the key issue in selecting

the best Hbs for a particular formula is to address Root & Branch in

one's Tx.

 

Wuweizi will be useful IF it has one or more OTHER indications

relevant to your patient's needs.

 

Indeed, just from its name (We Wei = Five Tastes / Flavours; Zi =

Seed / Fruit (as in Gouqizi)), it is appropriate for all of the Fve

Zangs.
