Guest guest
I would like to acquire training and experience in scalp acupuncture for stroke rehabilitation. Can anyone advise where in China or Taiwan I might be able to arrange this training? Thank You Turiya Hill, L.Ac.

Guest guest
Thanks Robert. I actually have had some training with Dr. Zhu. However I would like , if possible, to be in a clinical setting with alot of patients...to see for myself the realities of treating such patients and where I could practice my chops...so to speak! Guest guest
During my stay in Nanjing I interned for one month in the acupuncture residential clinic in the first provincial hospital, Nanjing. Almost all of the patients are stroke patients. The clinic is at Hanzhong Lu, close to where the uni used to be located (the international dept is still located there). You would need to contact the school for an internship and possibly an interpreter. The rate used to be 1000$ for one month. Here's a link the Nanjing university in English: http://iec.njutcm.edu cn/nanjingzhongyi1.htm Best of luck, Tom. ---- turiyahill 12/27/07 01:24:57 Chinese Medicine China Scalp Acu. Guest guest
I think Nanjing or Tianjin would be a first choice. As another option, I recently heard that the 2nd Affiliated TCM Hosp. here in Changsha has a relationship with the Nanjing Hospital and specializes in treating paralysis. If you're interested I'd be happy to find out more about it! Guest guest
Hi Turiya - You might check out the TCM University Hospital and Clinic in Chengdu. I spent three weeks in clinic there a few years ago and did a great deal of scalp acupuncture: http://www.cdutcm.org/Html/university/162858441.html Take care - Kim Blankenship On Dec 26, 2007 6:54 PM, Turiya Hill < turiya wrote: > Thanks Robert.
