Linjin See: (1) Training In Animal Acupuncture: http://www.chinesemedicinetimes.com/section.php?xSec=55 (2) Information Sources on Veterinary Acupuncture: http://www.chinesemedicinetimes.com/section.php?xSec=80 (3) Methods of Stimulating Acupoints in Animals: http://www.chinesemedicinetimes.com/section.php?xSec=95 (4) Practical Applications of Acupuncture in Small Animal Practice: http://www.chinesemedicinetimes.com/section.php?xSec=125 (5) Practical Applications of Acupuncture in Equine Practice: http://www.chinesemedicinetimes.com/section.php?xSec=138 (6) Practical Applications of Acupuncture in Farm Animal Practice: http://www.chinesemedicinetimes.com/section.php?xSec=164 (7) The study of acupuncture in humans and animals: homepage.eircom.net/~progers/study.htm The legal requirements as to who can diagnose & treat animal diseases / disorders for a fee vary between states / countries. In most EU states, one MUST hold a veterinary licence to diagnose and treat animals for a fee. At present, one usually may treat one's own animals, or a friend's animals (without charging a fee) as of right. That is changing, however, as people demand more freedom-of-choice (and less monopoly) in their lives. For the moment, IVAS and most National Vet Acup societies restrict TRAINING in veterinary acupuncture to vets only. There are exceptions, such as for professional academics or researchers who want to study AP for their teaching / research needs. The training [ http://www.tcvm.com/Program/program_basic.htm ] offered by the Chi Institute is for licensed vets only. Best regards,
