Hi friends - I've been approached by one of my patients to treat her 7

yo daughter for allergies. Here's what I know, which isn't much yet

and may have no bearing on your answers to my questions, so you may

just want to skip to the end ;) (I've only met the child in the

waiting room so far):

She's smart, not intimidated by adults, quite determined to get her

own way but doesn't melt down when denied (at least by me). Very

imaginative and creative.

She was a colicky baby, sensitive to some foods (still unknown), not

so much now. She often has sneezing attacks followed by what her

mother describes as 'profuse' clear nasal discharge - which mom is

partly worried will be a social problem for the child, and which she

also feels is also a drag for the child. About 18 months ago, child

was in the hospital for surgery on her elbow (not sure why), a stay of

at least a week, seems to have been traumatic for all. She's had

western allergy testing, diagnosed as allergic to dust mites, dust and

cat hair. Mother feels her choice is submitting the child to standard

western allergy treatment of 5 years of injections, of increasing

intensity, of the allergens that set off the attacks - or acupuncture,

possibly homeopathy.

So my main question: can this be an attempt to discharge a (possibly

latent?) pathogenic factor, eg she's holding a PF latent until she has

one too many things to deal with (the allergens) at which point she

gets symptomatic? Lung and Spleen deficiency? I think I can come up

with points for Lu and Sp deficiency, but what about clearing PF -

mostly I'm familiar with Jeffrey Yuen's Luo channel treatments on

adults. Any thoughts on treating children?

Thanks so much.

Karen

You might want to investigate NAET (Nambudripad's Allergy Elimination Technique)

or TAT for treating allergies in children. NAET can be done with needles or

without. TAT treatment is done without needles. If you would like more

information you can back channel me at ptf2007. Both paradigms can

be extremely effective.

Good luck.
