Guest guest
I have a new patient who has severe food & chemical allergies, and IBS. I will put her on a gluten free diet etc, but she is afraid to take herbs due to her reactions. She is willing to try small doses once, however. Does anyone have any input into herbs that have aggravated allergies besides the sulfates? Or is it trial and error from this point? thanks sami
Guest guest
watch out for herbs with a corn binder - can be an issue for IBS / chem sens / food allergies. had one patient who had bad reactions to the correct formulas; not until we switched to traditional teapills (Mayway) and not big, American-style pills with binders that the problem stopped. -Ben Hawes, L.Ac. 3. food & chemical allergies <Chinese Medicine/message/27331;_ylc=X\ 3oDMTJydW83OWZlBF9TAzk3MzU5NzE1BGdycElkAzk0OTU5NzcEZ3Jwc3BJZAMxNzA1MDYwODE0BG1zZ\ 0lkAzI3MzMxBHNlYwNkbXNnBHNsawN2bXNnBHN0aW1lAzExOTM0NzI1NDY-> Posted by: " Sami Rank LAc " herbsnacupnxr <herbsnacupnxr?Subject=%20Re%3Afood%20%26%20chemical%20allergie\ s> herbsnacupnxr <http://profiles./herbsnacupnxr> Fri Oct 26, 2007 9:17 am (PST) I have a new patient who has severe food & chemical allergies, and IBS. Guest guest
I also have found many patients reacted badly to Lanzhou Traditional Herbs brand. They specifically list as " other ingredients: corn starch " " Benjamin Hawes, L.Ac.
