Question about One Kidney

An active patient of mine, an MD, stated " TCM said Kidneys ( Yin

and Yang on left and right ) are important in life, if there is no

Kid-Yin, there is no Ki-Yang for this how a life is remained in tact

with someone with only one kidney? "

I have patients living with one kidney, with either with left or

right kidney, my patients have not ended… Why ??? What is your

analysis ? We removed one kidney from one person and implanted into

another, they both live happily.

My response : Actually, life source begins at MingMen Gate or

Fire, from this emerges or produces Kid-yang and Kid-Yin, then all

forms of other tissues, organs and frames, and structure of a body.

Kidneys exist in pair such as noses, eyes, ears, lungs, arteries and

veins… If this life-source " Mingmen Gate " is ended, life will end,

not just one of the Kidneys. Each of these organs or any organs in

pair, possesses similar structures or in functioning it has slight

differences or specialties in its activities or behaviors for their

own locations or their environments.

In TCM, they are named Yang because they are seen to have in

possessing of more transformation and transportation activities and

or filtering activities, and Yin for more storing and nourishing

activities, but the two can do or are possessing the same tasks.

When one of its partner is gone, the remaining one must do extra work

to compensate for the loss of another. Sometimes we see no

differences in a normal life of a normal person as we see same

activities in a person who had one arm or one leg amputated, the loss

of one eye, one ear, one testicle or one ovary. However, in specific

job required a man with both arms and both legs, the one armed or one

leged will reveal his limit capacity in slower speed or sometimes not

proper in others.

A man who loses a kidney, an arm, a leg, an eye, or a testicle

may appeal normal, but there are actual handicapped within, and in

emotional and physical.

Mingmen Gate or Fire is without form " invisible " locate at Du4,

level with the belly button. It manifests in our breath and takes

roots there, not at kidneys. If life is choked off, no breath " no

spirit of life entering and existing " , from here, a life is ended.

PLEASE HELP ME MORE WITH INPUTS ANYBODY ???

It is not convincingly enough, but this is my best. I need some

more inputs.

I suspect your MD " friend " is simply trying to punk you! After all,

does the Human organism not adapt itself in both the Western and TCM

systems? Is the Kidney meridian/organ not a " system " , a pattern of

energetics rather than a bean shaped organ of elimination and blood

pressure regulation? Will not Ancestral Qi and Source Qi move to

harmonize - to rebalance after the loss?

In treating patients with post-surgical " organ omissions " I have

found a great divergence in meridian health and point utilization -

(i.e. same side meridians tend to show atypical excess or deficiency -

yin meridians most likely in this case - and some points working in

reverse of normal). However, attending to all scarring resultant

from the procedure first, then working a new diagnosis for the

now " new patient " can be a tremendous help. Especially if they come

to you with a new, seeming unrelated condition - or side effect!

Auricular therapy and diagnosis is an extremely helpful addition to

traditional methods in these cases I have found. Recent studies

suggest the ear is a " primal place " , being one of the first areas

formed (external ear canal) in the embrio along with the neural crest.

Anyway, don't get caught up in the East/West thing. Personal

confidence, skill and results count most.

Meditate on patience and stimulate GV 26 next time he/she comes in!!

This is just my opinion, so take it for what it's worth!
