Guest guest
Hello all. I have patient with amennorhea following the removal of a fibroid cyst in march. She had gone off birth control the previous year that she was on since 16yo. She was proscribed the BC initially to regulate her menstration which was very dark and lasted three weeks. The last two years on the pill her period became very light. Upon going off the bc her menses came every three months with progressive amounts of pain until the mass was. found. She also has swollen lymph nodes for two years, chest pain/tightness, arm numbness, chronic foot rash around liver 3. I put her on Gui zhi fu ling wan and this week she reports a significant reduction in the chest pain and numbness. My question is, she says that she can feel her period coming on but then nothing happens unless she takes progesterone. How would I mimic the progesterone drop that brings on the menses? I have always thought to give some yang tonics from stage 2 to stage three. Though not knowing when her cycle is it is more difficult. Do I do this for two weeks, stop and give her more moving herbs? This is what makes sense to me. Any comments.

Guest guest
Thank you for the referal. If anything she matches the qi and blood stagnation/ge sha zhu yu tang presentation. But more so she is a textbook example of someone who needs gui zhi fu ling wan (fibroids, arm numbness(improved), chest tightness/pain(improved), chronic rash, choppy/slippery pulse, slightly purple tongue(which by the way is already drastically improved). I want more details to tweak her formula in accordance with where her hormones are in bringing on her menstration. --- aprilkim88 <aprilkim88 wrote: > Hi Petra, > > Have a look at CMTpedia for a list of patterns and > herbal formulas: > http://www.chinesemedicinetimes.com/wiki/Amenorrhea_-_Bi_Jing > > Attilio > www.chinesemedicinetimes.com > > > Chinese Medicine , > " petrabuchanan " > <petrabuchanan wrote: > > > > Hello all.
