Guest guest
I agree. The vast majority of those folks who take the limited lay acupuncture course see their limitations, but enough of them do not and provide acupuncture that puts a bad taste in enough patient's mouths to spread bad faith. There are also a number who are entranced by acupuncture and become quite good at it, but these are the exceptions. The bad apples with minimal moral and professional ethics are always those who ruin it for everyone. Guest guest
Yet not one of you has addressed the situation where the MD/DO has gone for EQUAL training as you. There are quite a few doctors who have done that. Not many but they are out there. Some may go through to get there degrees in TCM as well and practice a combined form of medicine. MD/DO does not equal evil just like you wouldn’t want them to see you that way. A good doctor knows when he/she is in over his/her head and refers out either to a specialist or to TCM or both. A good TCM should know the same. My brother is an oncologist, he works hand in hand with TCM practioners all the time. I don’t think any of his patients would want to give up either modality. They may not use both at the same time, but they are glad both are available.
