Guest guest
Hi everybody, I have a new patient who just made an appointment for next week with chief complaint of Vaginal dryness since menopause. It has not responded to Estrace cream. (her other chief complaint is hand/finger pain -- suspected rhematoid arthritis.) While I have had success with other menopausal patients, the vaginal dryness chief complaint is a first for me. Besides just " treating the root " of whatever imbalances are presented, are there any symptom-specific treatments I should try (TCM or non-TCM)? Any suggestions would be much much appreciated. thank you! ~edith from san francisco -- Edith Chan, L.Ac. Guest guest
Can add virgin coconut oil as vaginal suppository one at HS. (buy a jar of oil. make the suppository yourself. just put it in the fridge to solidify) Will address the dryness instantly but need to do it for extended time. Take also the oil po as supplement. I use TropicalTraditions brand. It's authentic. Take care. Guest guest
Use extra vessel points of the shao yang- tw5 and gb41, needle cv 3, 4, 7 deep until the tip of the needle hits the peritonium and manipulate the needle at that level. Use ext, genital point in the ear near shen men in the tri fossa. And treat the pattern, ie yin def, blood def., stagnation, etc...You can use high grade american ginseng tea for the dryness, In my experience saffron is a powerful herb to arouse that area and send more blood circulation. ______________________________\ ____ Take the Internet to Go: Go puts the Internet in your pocket: mail, news, photos & more. http://mobile./go?refer=1GNXIC
