Guest guest
Dear Group, I would like to share an amazing experience i had some days ago. A friend of mine asked me to help her induce labor with acupuncture, she was already many days overdue and her baby reaching a weight, where natural birth would be impossible. I arrived at her place early in the afternoon. After treatment she felt slight contractions that went on regularly till the evening, we did another acup. session, which increased contractions. At one o clock am we called her midwive and doula. At 11 am a healthy baby was born. During labor i was able to assist her more, bringing down the head of the baby, ease the pain a bit, increase contractions and give her strength. Even though it was a hard birth and everyone was physically and emotionally exhausted, i am so grateful and happy having witnessed the miracle of life! And, once more feel blessed having such a wonderful tool with acupuncture to assist and help people. Sincerely, Rebekka Ettlin
Guest guest
that's really exciting to hear! i am currently 8 mos pregnant and definitely will be using acupuncture induction if i need it. do you have any recommendations for anaglesic points during labor? i'm guessing the universally used ones for analgesia will work, LI4, LV3, etc etc Chinese Medicine , " rebekka " <knumpf1 wrote: > > Dear Group, > > I would like to share an amazing experience i had some days ago. Guest guest
Hi, I¹ve been having very good results with GB 21 and BL 32., probably also because they are easy to access during labour whatever position the mum is comfortable in. Have a look at this web site http://acupuncture.rhizome.net.nz/default.aspx May On 22/8/07 14:34, " shamanist1 " <shamanist1 wrote: > > > > > that's really exciting to hear! i am currently 8 mos pregnant and > definitely will be using acupuncture induction if i need it. do you > have any recommendations for anaglesic points during labor? > i'm guessing the universally used ones for analgesia will work, LI4, > LV3, etc etc > > Chinese Medicine > <Chinese Medicine%40> , " rebekka " > <knumpf1 wrote: >> > >> > Dear Group, >> > >> > I would like to share an amazing experience i had some days ago. Guest guest
I have been having great results with Debra Betts protacol. You can print it for free off the web - acupressure techniques for pain relief during labor. I have been giving the hand outs to patients for them and their partners to use during labor and the results have been outstanding. Plus it is very empowering for them becouse they can do it themselves and I have found that acupressure is more comfortable and effective than acupuncture during labor. -- In Chinese Medicine , " shamanist1 " <shamanist1 wrote: > > that's really exciting to hear! i am currently 8 mos pregnant and > definitely will be using acupuncture induction if i need it. do you > have any recommendations for anaglesic points during labor? > i'm guessing the universally used ones for analgesia will work, LI4, > LV3, etc etc > > Chinese Medicine , " rebekka " > <knumpf1@> wrote: > > > > Dear Group, > > > > I would like to share an amazing experience i had some days ago. Guest guest
You just need to keep an eye on GB21 while the needle is in. The woman can easily drive it deeper with all the writhing around. The upper lobe of the lung is right there, especially on thinner women. - Bill Chinese Medicine , May Lucken- Ardjomande <maylucken wrote: > > Hi, > > I¹ve been having very good results with GB 21 and BL 32., probably also > because they are easy to access during labour whatever position the mum is > comfortable in. > > Have a look at this web site http://acupuncture.rhizome.net.nz/default.aspx > > May > > > > > > On 22/8/07 14:34, " shamanist1 " <shamanist1 wrote: > > > > > > > > > > > that's really exciting to hear! i am currently 8 mos pregnant and > > definitely will be using acupuncture induction if i need it. do you > > have any recommendations for anaglesic points during labor? > > i'm guessing the universally used ones for analgesia will work, LI4, > > LV3, etc etc > > > > Chinese Medicine > > <Chinese Medicine% 40> , " rebekka " > > <knumpf1@> wrote: > >> > > >> > Dear Group, > >> > > >> > I would like to share an amazing experience i had some days ago. Guest guest
I also think that acupressure is a great alternative during labor. u can even show the father some points like gb 21, so he can massage them while holding and supporting the woman. for analgesic u can use LI 4 or use earseeds (shenmen, uterus,..). I did a lot of reflexology too. Rebekka --- petrabuchanan <petrabuchanan schrieb: > > I have been having great results with Debra Betts > protacol.
