Guest guest
Hello, I have a patient who just had Mohs surgery to remove a skin cancer. The area is on the nose and required skin grafting. Patient was told to take it easy until the blood vessels that were feeding the cancer, grow up into the 'new' skin. Has anyone treated post-operatively to help the skin graft take? Any advice on acupuncture and herbs would be appreciated. How long after surgery did you treat? Patient is required to leave the bandage on for one week, but I was contemplating doing body points and some face points directing qi and blood to the area. Any suggestions for preventative care? I have read that Retinoids may help patients with a susceptibility to skin cancer. What about long-term use of retiniods? Thank you.
