This brings up an interesting issue. I recently found out that we are not

necessarily covered under our liability insurance to practice Facial

Acupuncture. According to the American Acupuncture Council I was told that

I wasn't covered to perform Facial Acupuncture unless I had completed a

certification course by Mary Elizabeth Wakefield, Virginia Doran, or " one

other person " (I'm sorry I don't remember who that is); and utilized their

informed consent form. Therefore if you take a course abroad in facial

acupuncture, when you return you may not be covered. You may want to check

with your insurer first.

this doesn't sound right to me, that AAC is endorsing and requiring

coursework from one of 3 instructors in order to get malpractice coverage

ofr facial acupuncture. can anyone confirm this statement?
