Guest guest
I'm looking for suggestions from those of you with experience in treating animals. My friend's 11-year-old lab/pitbull mix was diagnosed with inflammatory breast cancer. Due to her age, they don't plan on doing any surgery or chemo. The prognosis is six months. At this point, the only symptom is fatigue. After metastasis, lung symptoms will probably develop. I'm assuming that any treatment will be palliative and probably won't address the cancer. - Bill
Guest guest
Go to www.tcvm.com and then to Dr. Xie's Jing Tang Herbal. He sells a formual for breast cancer, one is statsis breaker and the other has transport herbs added to take the formula to the breast. Call Dr. Xie's and let him know Dr. Jordan advised this. Also, Dr. Are Thorensen has a one needle tachnique for breast cancer. He uses Liv 3 I am sure this is explained by the Ko Cycle controlling. The woman in my TCVM class also suggest the GB34 if there is an " hot " emotional state associated with the dogs personality.Sincerely, Patricia Jordan DVM,CVA,CTCVM & Herbology : plantmed: Wed, 1 Aug 2007 01:48:41 +0000TCM - Inflammatory breast cancer in a dog I'm looking for suggestions from those of you with experience in treating animals. My friend's 11-year-old lab/pitbull mix was diagnosed with inflammatory breast cancer. Guest guest
I had a few canine patients in 2001 that all had cancer. There were like three, all of which probably doubled the prognosed time left. They were happier as evidenced by their general spirit and energy level. All concerned felt that it was a positive outcome. The formula came from my go-to guy for cancer in LA, Ji Zhang. Here's the formula that I used for all three: shan ci gu 40g (raw ground into powder, all others are extracts) chen pi 3g ban xia 3g sheng jiang 3g wang bu liu xin 5g chuan xiong 5g di long 5g mo yao 5g ru xiang 5g hai zao 10g bei jie zi 10 g On 7/31/07, bill_schoenbart <plantmed2 wrote: > > I'm looking for suggestions from those of you with experience in > treating animals. > > My friend's 11-year-old lab/pitbull mix was diagnosed with > inflammatory breast cancer. Guest guest
Al, I just saw the dog with breast cancer for the first time in two months. That formula is working VERY well. Her energy is back, coat is shiny, bloating is gone, and mood is normal. Only a slight reddish area where there was significant abdominal ulceration. Quite an improvement. My friends (who are also acupuncturists) only modified the dose of Shan Ci Gu. They chose the less toxic of the two types, and have been using 5 grams of the powdered extract along with the normal doses in the rest of the formula. They have been giving the dog three heaping scoops, twice a day. They wanted to pass along their thanks for your suggestion. - Bill > > " Al Stone " <al@> wrote: > > > > > > I had a few canine patients in 2001 that all had cancer. > > > > > > There were like three, all of which probably doubled the prognosed > > time > > > left.
