I wonder what you all will have to say about this case: 58 yr old man

,mugged at gunpoint in the winter and his shoulder broken; now he has western dx

'frozen shoulder " . pulses are somewhat deep, LU consistently especially so;

tongue is a 'heart' tongue in shape, red, dryish, red tip.the man is stoic, a

non complainer. Ive been advised in student clinic to treat him fairly

aggressively on the physical level (so far as it can be separated..):opening the

arm yang meridians, gua sha, manipulation w/ St 39 etc. Have done some 'trigger

points' in Si, Li, Th area- plenty of release in the moment -but still after

3 visits he shows almost no improvement . I believe there have to be

underlying causes -the man was mugged at gunpoint! The subscap muscle,

implicated in

'frozen shoulder' can be reached along the heart pathway..

Tx for him has involved many more needles than id be inclined to use on my

own. I intrigued by the 1 needle advices here...Id love to learn from anyone's

insight about such a case.

Thank you!

Anna
