Guest guest
Bottom line, I like it. I know some people are miffed about the price, and that you pay yearly for updates, but this is pretty standard for computer programs you buy to run a business. We pay such a tiny price compared to other industies. I think acubase is like $600, I got it on promo, so for less. But a chiropractor friend just bought his computer software, $10,000 or more, plus he pays $1000-3000/year for updates (can't remember the numbers, but in the thousands for sure). And an auto repair place I was at recently, we got to talking about their program, $20,000! PLus another $5000 or so a year to update program. After realizing how much programs in these other industries cost, wow! And for insurance billing, and in plain running an effective business, you want regular updates, and people who are constantly working to improve the program and respond to your needs. And I like the fact that since I have owned the new version, there have been like 5 updates. Many things that my office staff has requested has been changed already....to me this is just good business. I have not done insurance billing (kind of dreading the whole thing, but have a ton of visits i need to bill for, yipes) so I cannot speak to how this function works. But I love how it tracks my inventory, sales tax, stores patient info, prints superbills. I love that I can run reports to analyze my sales, that I can generate letters to clients, and specify certain groups within my entire patient base. I took over another woman's practice, so I hade a huge, disorganized database to start with, and this has really organized me. Hope this adds perspective on another practice management program...have a great weekend all!
Guest guest
I had acubase and did like it, except they had no plans to make it work for multiple practitioneers and I have 6 folks i needed to put in there....For 3 or less (I think) it works great.
