Guest guest
Just a note to alert you to the fact that gua sha implements can cause the extravasation of a small amount of blood, at times slightly reddening the lubricating lotion. Hence it is best and easiest to use single use disposable coining implements. White 43mm metal threaded jar lids with a fine smooth edge work well. They can be obtained inexpensively by the gross from bottle wholesalers. Also remember to glove both hands prior to performing coining. Best Regards, David Kailin, Ph.D., M.P.H., L.Ac. Guest guest
Hi David, I once tried to find these lids you mention online, with no luck. Will you let me know where you get yours? You can contact me privately, to avoid any conflict with promoting product manufacturers on the list. Thank you, convergentmedical <kailin wrote: Just a note to alert you to the fact that gua sha implements can cause the extravasation of a small amount of blood, at times slightly reddening the lubricating lotion. Guest guest
I have a number of different gua sha tools and they're not disposable. I've shown them to an esthetician who said that they look like they could be cleansed with antibacterial soap and then soaked for 5 minutes in alcohol. Any thoughts as to this method being sufficient for non-disposable tools? Amy Fleetman
