Guest guest
Passion flower is an incredible herb. Herbal and alternative/complementary prescribers use it often, I use it for anxiety...many things, like grandmother's garden stuff. Yet, we may be hindered from obtaining it as consumers, and penalized as health care workers, for giving it to someone. What laws will apply to big conglomerates as they use herbs by the ton for mass consumption? I think it's great that big companies feel tied to something organic for their survival,. But what's good for the goose is good for the gander, right? Folklore The name Passionflower refers to the passion of Christ: the 3 stamens represent his wounds, and the 12 petals represent the apostles. Passion fruit is sweet and aromatic, in fact, the fruit is used in Hawaiian Punch for flavor.
Guest guest
my book says: the three stamens represents the 3 nails. Guest guest
Hi Amy, I've heard that too. There's an amazing amount of symbology on that little plant. And its uses are so broad. I was just trying to illustrate the insanity of the codex, in context of a plant thats beautiful, medicinal, and a foodstuff. Who gets the rights to these thing? Guest guest
Thanks. Didn't know that passion flower was used as a flavoring for Hawaiian punch... No wonder I liked drinking it everyday when I was a kid! It is said to open the crown chakra, like unraveling a thousand petaled lotus. Codex is all about control... Control is the opposition of Freedom. Freedom leads to or is led by Enlightenment... Ignorance leads one to becoming controlled or wanting control over others. The Romany (Gypsies) have a story that they have had good luck even in the face of centuries of persecution, because a Romany child stole the nails that were supposed to be used to crucify Jesus. I guess the Romans found some other ones... they've been dragging his Po (Ghost corpse) for two thousand years. K.
