However, Tamzin Freeman from the UK used EFT with her client for a severe case and, after one one year, the symptoms are gone. Did EFT cure it? Email Tamzin Featured Article #2: What would appear to be the main issue may not be so: We have many cases where tapping on one issue often brings benefits for other issues. Such is the case in this article by Deirdre Brocklebank from Australia. Near the end I make the following comment, We don't always know whether an EFT benefit occurs because we have collapsed a foundational issue in the past or because tapping on some issues collapses related items. Whatever the reason, we certainly see our share of these "side benefits." In this article, Amit Singh from India gives us a quality example of this. Note the many creative avenues Amit uses to address this problem. Email Amit Past Articles from the EFT Website Anger management approach for a polarity responder: This is a fascinating case that will be particularly useful for professionals wishing to improve their languaging skills. Dr. Alexander Lees from Canada tells the story of an angry young man ("David") who, as a polarity responder, is inclined to do the exact opposite of any instructions you might give him. This, of course, poses a major challenge for getting the client to do EFT. Not only does EFT look silly but it also comes with instructions about what one should DO. A polarity responder is not likely to comply, of course, UNLESS an artful use of language leverages off of the client's "you can't be right" attitude. School Counselor on anger and tension: Anyone who has waited until adulthood to address troubling childhood issues can certainly appreciate the monumental benefits of using EFT with children. By helping them process confusing emotions at an early age, we enhance their ability to live without the limits that so many of us have taken for granted. Here is a school counselor who saw the potential and showed some students how to brighten their own future. Using EFT to self-calm an intense anger tantrum: Ann Adams gives us another look at the use of EFT inside the residential facility for Severely Emotionally Disturbed children where she works. This is a simple case--very direct and very obvious--and therein lies its importance. Often, all we have to do is get the client to tap. You will appreciate Ann's creativity in this regard. Phantom Limb Pain: Frank Trupiano shares with us a successful use of EFT for an amputee. Phantom limb pain has been a mystery to the healing professions for a very long time and it is only recently that we are finding ways to relieve it. I thought you would find Frank's experience of interest. Gary discusses depression and some new ideas: I don't know how many millions suffer from depression in this world--but it's a LOT!! The current conventional wisdom about treating depression comes largely from the medical community. On the other hand, the treatment of depression by conventionally accepted means falls somewhat short of perfection. Cures or complete cessation of the problem are not exactly commonplace. Interestingly, with EFT we have many people whose symptoms just vanish. Our clinical results appear to provide an important missing piece to the healing puzzle and it is my hope that the purveyors of conventional techniques will consider our findings. Several brief descriptions of rapid headache relief: This assortment of cases will certainly illustrate the connection between physical pain and emotional issues. Although some headaches are stubborn, while some give up more easily, treating pain without drugs is always worth a try!
