Guest guest Posted October 26, 2008 Report Share Posted October 26, 2008 Reminds me of a lecture for doctors that I went to on the benefits of Transcendental Meditation given by Deepak Chopra - at the end of the talk he asked, having shown the benefits, how many of the doctors present would teach or encourage their patients to practice TM, no one put up their hand - when he asked one Dr why not, the reply was " if they are all going to enjoy good health, what are we going to do for patients - we wont have any " . During the discussion a practitioner stood up and said he simply could not, and would not, accept the findings, because admitting to his patients that he had been using an unsafe treatment would shame him in their eyes.
